The Eclipse Has Passed. But it’s just the Beginning!
The eclipse took place on Saturday night, and I'm writing this the day after. While the eclipse itself is now in the past, there's a lingering energy that continues to surround us. I can say though that I've experienced a big shift within myself. I find myself more motivated, and my fears are not holding me back as they have been. I've started to tackle my to-do list, which, for some reason remained untouched until yesterday. Moreover, I'm now aware of the aspects of myself that I'm prepared to let go of.
Since my personal turning point and the decision to take control, I've come to realise the incredible benefits of reducing my constant access to social media. This change has allowed me to listen to my intuition on a deeper level. While I've always been an enthusiastic journaler, these past few days, I've been relentless in my writing, uncovering insights that I wasn’t noticing before.
My intuition has been nudging me for some time, urging me to explore it more. As a Pisces, ruled by Neptune, the planet of intuition, it's a large part of my being. I often rely on my intuition when working with clients. An amazing medium I saw at the age of 17 shared many things with me, including the statement, "You have the ability to do what I do; you're simply not ready for it yet." Well, today, I think I am.
Intuition revolves around self-trust, having faith in what you instinctively know is right for you. Initially, it entails taking the risk to follow your inner guidance until it becomes second nature. Building trust in your intuition is intrinsically tied to self-worth. It's important to try and lead from your soul rather than being driven by ego.
In the midst of the world's relentless speed and noise, listening to your intuition can be challenging. That's why it's crucial to set aside moments in your day, even if it's just five minutes, to meditate or find silence—whether in the bath or amidst nature. These brief moments allow you to find the quietude needed to connect with your inner wisdom. After all, the answers we seek often lie within us, or, at the very least, they serve as a guiding light when we are able to act upon them.
This experience serves as a reminder to myself of the importance of maintaining discipline in my self-care regimen. While I've generally been diligent in this regard, I've recently let my morning practices slip, which has allowed some of my old negative thoughts to resurface. As a sensitive person, beginning my day with meditation, self-hypnosis, and journaling plays a pivotal role in my well-being. These practices serve to connect me with my true self, soothe my nervous system, and create the internal serenity necessary to tune into any subtle insights I might otherwise overlook.
I understand that not everyone requires a structured routine like mine. Your form of meditation may take on a different guise; perhaps it's found in activities such as running, cooking, or cycling. The key is to set aside a few minutes for uninterrupted silence, if possible. The real transformative work, however, unfolds in the day-to-day actions and state of being. For me though, the morning rituals are not just important but essential.
When you find yourself at rock bottom, it's essentially the universe's way of urging you to pay attention, as you may not be grasping the message swiftly enough. In hindsight, I realise that everything I've learned in these past few days was knowledge I already possessed, but I just wasn’t prioritising it.
For those who might be facing rock bottom or seeking a fresh start, here are some useful tips:
Social Media Detox: Initially, it may feel odd, but the clarity and liberation it brings is worth it. I discovered a great app called Opal that tells you all your usage and its way more intense than the time usage already on the iphone. I set it to Deep Focus which meant I wouldn’t be able to get in at all. I didn’t believe it, but then I actually couldn’t use my Instagram, Whatsapp and a few other apps from 9.30am until 4.30pm! So I just had to accept it.
Alcohol Detox: If you're battling anxiety, remember that alcohol is never the solution. Going out and not drinking can be surprisingly enjoyable; it's an experience everyone should try I think.
Find Serenity: Whether through meditation, running, swimming, or taking contemplative walks, creating moments of peace is essential.
Connect with Others: Leaving the confines of your home and being around people can be remarkably rejuvenating. If you're into Human Design and have a 4 in your profile, like I do, you'll significantly benefit from engaging with others.
Reach Out to Friends and Family: Don't let apprehensions about bothering people hold you back. Those who care about you will be eager to listen and support you.
Take Action: Even when you feel unprepared or hesitant, start by tackling something you've been putting off. Once you've accomplished one task, you'll find yourself in the flow, and this accomplishment can transform your energy.
Consider Hypnotherapy or Therapy: If you have access to therapy, it can help you understand your feelings and potentially alter your self-perception.
Remember, hitting rock bottom often serves as a catalyst for personal growth and transformation. Embrace this phase as an opportunity to rediscover yourself and take steps toward a better future.
If you find yourself unable to implement any of these strategies and you feel completely trapped, it's probable that deep-seated fears within your subconscious are working hard to protect you. Depending on the specific circumstances, it's crucial to reflect and logically assess your situation. If you can affirm with a clear mind, that you are genuinely safe, then the fear you're experiencing is, in reality, false— an outdated belief that if released will enable you to move forward and shape your life according to your aspirations.
In the past few days, I've gained some great information, and I realised that I truly needed this reset. Reconnecting with myself has been an enjoyable and fulfilling experience, leading to a profound sense of happiness. While I acknowledge that there's still a long road ahead, I understand that personal growth is an ongoing journey. It's not about reaching a destination but about the lessons and discoveries made along the way.
If any of what I've shared resonates with you, or if you're currently feeling lost or desperate, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. Our minds can sometimes play tricks on us, and it's often wisest to silence their noise and listen to the wisdom within.
